Recommended Resources

Here are some of the resources I use personally for my creative and business projects. I am happy to recommend them since I’ve tried them out myself.

Adobe CC

I use Photoshop and Illustrator on a regular basis and with the new tools constantly being developed to improve your workflow, I’d highly recommend a subscription, even if it’s a bit pricey for your budget. It might be cheaper to only pay for the programs you need.

Canva

I use Canva quite a lot for on-the-go editing with my phone since it’s really handy, but I also use the desktop version for creating social posts and for finding inspiration. You can use Canva for FREE or upgrade to PRO for a monthly or yearly fee to get more resources.

DesignCuts

I came across DesignCuts years ago when I was searching for Procreate brushes and wow am I glad I found this treasure trove. For quality resources like brushes, mockups, graphics
and courses, it’s fantastic. They also do a monthly bundle,
which is heavily discounted.

Procreate

Procreate is popular for good reason – it’s one of the best
painting apps I’ve personally tried. The amount of brushes
and resources that you can find online for Procreate
is just astounding, so you’ll have plenty of choice.
Plus, it’s a single payment to use it on your iPad – bonus.

Creative Fabrica

This is a HUGE resource for me. If I want fonts, graphics, templates, SVGs, mockups, patterns, brushes… well this is the place to go. Plus, I get the subscription so I really get my money’s worth. Creative Fabrica’s subscription allows you access to download millions of resources for no extra cost. I am an affiliate with them because of how much I use their website. They also have tonnes of courses for all creative disciplines and crafts! Bundles are also very worthwhile if you don’t want to buy the subscription and 90% off sales occur at specific times throughout the year. AND you can also download the weekly and monthly freebies! Whew, that’s a lot. But wait, there’s more – because Creative Fabrica also runs all sorts of tools, like CF Spark (their AI graphics generator), background remover tool, webfont generator and more.

Website Hosting

If you’re looking to host your own website (like a WordPress site) then I strongly recommend Hostinger as your hosting provider.

They have a few plans to choose from and usually offer a discount for longer timeframes, plus you can also purchase your domain through them.
